  19. Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Nevada.   Assists individuals and families to reduce debt, improve creditworthiness, and improve their quality of life.   33. Nevada Care Connection (NVCC):   The mission of the NVCC is to guide seniors/families through the social services and health care maze, give provider's tools that will assist them in offering quality services, gather data on services being provided, services needed, and services not available, and furnish easy access to information, assistance and referrals. www.nveldercare.org

  34. Nevada Rural Counties RSVP:   The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is part of the Corporation for National Service, a federal agency. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and older to use their experience from diverse career backgrounds to make aging easier for those elderly persons needing that "little extra" help to stay home. Volunteers perform tasks such as shopping, tidying up, preparing meals, visitation, picking up prescriptions and so on. Volunteers also provide respite care for family caregivers.   36. Northern Nevada Center for Independent Living/Fallon.   With offices in Sparks, Elko and Fallon, the NNCIL provides support services for individuals with disabilities. Furnishes information, referrals, support, and advice on living skills. www.nncil.org


  37. Northern Nevada Home Care.   Provides services to seniors with disabilities, chronic short-term ailments or terminal illnesses.   45. Social Security Administration.   This site discusses all aspects of Social Security, including disability benefits. Individuals may submit personal information to determine specific Social Security benefits. www.ssa.gov

University of Maryland Center on Aging:   The University of Maryland Center on Aging is an all-university, interdisciplinary institution designed to foster basic, applied and policy research, education and public service in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention and human aging.
